We are Pleased to be offering a funded Level 3 NVQ in Makeup Artistry
in Partnership with Progress to Excellence.

 

Are you 19 or over?

There is no cap on how old you are to be able complete this course but you must be 19 or over. Don't worry if you haven't studied in years or have very few qualifications, we can accommodate all ages and academic abilities.

UK Resident

You need to be registered UK resident to qualify for the funding for this course.

Have 1 day or 2 evenings a week available

You are required to attend class 1 day per week or 2 evenings per week, depending on what suits your lifestyle best. This is a 20 week course and you need to attend for the full 20 weeks to complete and pass the course.

Our Christmas Holiday is 19th December - 2nd January (this is our first day back) but otherwise if you have any holidays booked please discuss this with us before enrolling as it may be best to book you on the next course.

The course is taught by Master Level Educator Michael Blackham and with a extensive career in Nails, Hair and Beauty Michael has experience and teaching skills that will help you become an amazing Nail Tech in a rapidly growing industry.

So what will you learn on this 22 week NVQ Makeup Artistry course?

Apply Makeup

It may sound an obvious one, but this is whats its all about, not only will you learn how to apply makeup, you will also learn how to instruct others to get the most out of their makeup kit, so if you wanted to work for a makeup concession in a department store then this section of the course will give you the tools to be steps ahead of the game.

Camouflage Makeup

Cover problem areas for clients, and create a flawless base. this is especially key when it comes to covering birth marks, dealing with problem skin types or covering keyloid scarring which can cause some confidence issues for many. These techniques will mean you can deal with any requests from clients - just imagine its your wedding day and you want to look your absolute best... enter the makeup artist.. 🙂

Design and Apply Face and Body Art

For those special requests, parties and fun events this section of the course is really good fun

Fashion and Photographic Makeup

Have you ever felt you looked washed out in photographs but your makeup looks lovely in real life? Well you'll learn exactly why that happens and how to make sure your brides don't look washed out on their wedding photo's!

Client Care and Retailing

Looking after your clients best interests are of utmost importance if you are looking to start a business and gain an amazing reputation in your area. So this section really does complete your course.

    Once you have filled in the form you will be emailed more information on how to enrol. The enrolment date has been set and this date will be emailed to you.

    Book your 1 hour enrolment time slot

    The sooner you get in touch to book an enrolment time slot the better, we are expecting this course to be over subscribed so keep an eye on your emails! Our details will be listed on the email you receive so email us to book your time slot. Due to the amount of enquiries we already have we are expecting to be very busy during enrolment and unfortunately cannot enrol you without a booked time slot, so make sure you email or call us to arrange your enrolment as soon as you can

    What to bring with you when you enrol

    It is important you bring along a couple of things with you when you enrol to make the process of acceptance quicker and easier for YOU! - Bring your PASSPORT (it must be in date) - Bring your National Insurance Number If you don't have a passport that is in date, then you'll need your birth certificate at a later date, you don't need this during enrolment but please make sure you know where to find it to complete your registration.

    Help us to help YOU!

    You will be required to complete a quick literacy and numeracy test as part of your enrolment. IT IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, but allows us to assess the level you are at so we can adapt our teaching techniques to suit you.

    Await confirmation of your funding by post

    usually within 2 weeks or so you will receive a letter confirming your funding, you'll need to bring this in to us so we can make a copy for our records.

    YOU'RE DONE !!

    You'll receive more information by email from us confirming your acceptance onto the course and letting you know all about starting the course, what to bring, time to arrive, and a few other useful pieces of information. All thats left is for you to attend class and gain your NVQ in Nail Technology! 🙂

  • q-iconHow much does it cost?

    You ONLY pay back your loan (plus interest) when you finish your course and earn more than £21,000 a year. Your repayments will stop if your income drops below £21,000 a year.

    Your annual repayment amount will be 9% of any income you earn over £21,000.

    For Example;

    Your monthly repayments would be:

    ◦ £7.50 a month – if you earned £22,000 a year

    ◦ £30 a month – if you earned £25,000 a year

    Your educator is EzFlow Master Artist Educator, Michael Blackham! Michael has been educating

    for over 6 years, as a Master Artist Educator Michael has a wealth of knowledge, teaching for the

    global brand EzFlow Nail Systems, IBD and Orly.

  • q-iconWhat exactly will I learn?

    We start with Manicure and Pedicure, then you will learn how to apply acrylic nail enhancements and a Nail Art module is also included, so you will have knowledge and practical skills to be able to conduct all of these services by the time you finish the course.

  • q-iconHow do i know if i meet the criteria to apply for the course?

    Anyone can apply as long as you meet this criteria:

    ◦be living in the UK on the first day of your course

    ◦have been living in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for 3 years before starting your course

    ◦be a UK national or have ‘settled status’ (this means there’s no restrictions on how long you can stay)

    You may also qualify if you’re:

    ◦a UK national, or someone with settled status, but you live somewhere else in the EEA

    ◦an EU national or a family member of one

    ◦a refugee

    ◦a migrant worker

    ◦the child of a Swiss national

    ◦the child of a Turkish worker

  • q-iconCould i get turned down for the funding?

    Its highly unlikely you’ll be refused the funding!

    Funding is only refused in extreme cases, so if you are worried about being on benefits or income support etc…DON’T BE!! Even if you are on a great wage, in full time work you can still apply and be granted funding for this course!

  • q-iconDo i need to buy anything for the course?

    Everything you need is provided during classes. All you need to bring is a pen and paper (and don’t even worry if you forget these!) The nail products will be provided for you during class time.

    There are optional nail kits you can purchase from us, and great incentives to go with them too! 

    Our advise is; DON’T BUY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE ATTENDED DAY 1 !

    We are here to advise and guide you so you don’t spend unnecessary money or buy something that isn’t suitable. We have been in this industry for years (and years!) so even if you don’t buy the products/ kits we offer we can help you with your choices…it is your perogative to buy and use what you want, it is our job to educate you on products as well as ‘how to do nails’ so don’t buy anything until you have discussed it with your educator. We are here to help.
