Lovers of beauty! Lovers of nail art! Come one, come all to Nailympia London, the Top Nail Art International Competition in the world. It is all going down this October, with three action packed days of competitions and exhibitions (October 3rd, 4th, and 5th). So book that ticket to London ahead of time, because the event is very well attended every year. You can easily find very affordable accommodations close to the Olympia Beauty venue in London. For example, venere.com gives you the option to filter by neighborhood. Hammersmith, West Kensington, Holland Park and Shepherd’s Bush are all close to the venue, as well as lovely inexpensive quarters.
If you are thinking of entering the competition, there are three individual divisions and one team division. Division 1, the Novice Division, is for students and professionals that are already nail technicians, but have never competed before. To enter in one novice category costs 50 pounds, two categories costs 90 pounds, and to enter in three categories costs 120 pounds.
Division 2 is the Apprentice Division. This is for any professional nail techs or students that have competed in a recognised competition, but have never placed above 2nd position. One category in the Apprentice Division costs 80 pounds, two categories costs 150 pounds, and three categories costs 200 pounds.
Then comes Division 3, or the Master Division. There is a mandatory entrance in four categories, and it costs 325 pounds. It is for anyone who has won a recognised nail competition anywhere in the world. It is also for any nail tech who is ranked is a Top Competitor or has won a world title. Competitors must participate in both Gel and Acrylic L&P, meaning both sculpture and overlay/tip.
A Master participant must enter the four competitions for artificial nails, or they can enter the art categories. These are the categories of Fantasy and Runway Nails and Mixed Media. Nail Artists will be allowed to enter from one to three art categories. Also included are soak off gel manicure and Mixed Media Boxed and Fantasy for the Complete Look. Each of the art categories has a different entrance fee, so check out the nailympialondon.com website for more details on this.
Lastly, we have the Team Title Category. The score is comprised by taking the top three results from each team competitor in each competition. There can be three to six nail artists on a team, and they can all compete in the same division.
One more important thing before entering: you must email Janine.firstname.lastname@example.org. Janine will give you more information about precise entrance procedures.
